Aspinwall Tableware

This handcrafted art glass tableware features Studio Glass Company’s Aspinwall design. Inspired by the rivets on a train bridge in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania, this series of bowls and platters celebrates the varied textures of Pittsburgh’s industrial landscape.

Studio Glass Company’s collection of home goods and lighting feature powder printed imagery and designs. Through the powder printing process, founder and designer Dan Buchanan employs traditional screen printing methods, replacing ink with glass powders and paper with sheets of glass. The detailed layers of imagery are then fused together in the kiln to create heavily textured images.
