Moteasa LLC was officially established in 2012 by yvette shipman. It is the materialization of lifelong work that has for many years been carefully and lovingly steeped in collaboration with others; learning from elders, and spiritual teachers, listening until invited to talk, and open-heartedly embracing the lessons of youth from all around.

yvette created Moteasa as a way to pay homage to her ancestors of blood and spirit. It evolved out of her love for creating unique tastes, textures and aromas, and the joy of creating products and tea and tisane blends that are natural, versatile, and, quite frankly, deliciously simple. yvette believes in the importance of community involvement and social interaction. Humans are social beings, meaning they need to be together, and real talk + tea on their way to building and sustaining a fulfilling, purposeful, and liberated life.
