"My approach with everything relating to Kool Image Dolls is the understanding that it is really hard to be what you do not see. For a young child to see a doll that they play with or watch with skin like theirs, hair like theirs, nose and lips like theirs instills that I too am beautiful, I too matter."

Kool Image Dolls  was established in 2020 by award winning figurative sculptor Dominique Scaife. A self-taught sculptor and lover of dolls Dominique set out on a life-long dream to design dolls, tell stories, and create clothing that not only represent children of color but uplift their confidence from an early age and beyond.

The “Kool” in Kool Image Dolls stands for Kids Only Openly Love and the brand stands on that foundation of love. The core mission of Kool Image Dolls is to promote positive self-identity play and positive self-identity engagement. They provide positive imagery, stories, and statements that let children of color see and be their best. Their motto: Play Kool, Dress Kool, Be Kool.
