"I design handmade wooden housewares and furniture - objects that strive to evoke beauty, unearth story, and become treasured pieces in your home."
Alexis Caldero’s holistic approach to woodworking starts with careful consideration of her materials – the wood itself, which is sourced from area lumberyards where Alexis hand-selects salvaged cuts of local wood species like black walnut, cherry, and oak. Once in her studio, she relies on hand-drawn sketches, classic hand tools, and time-honored skills to craft a range of products, including curio boxes, bowls, dishware, hanging cabinets, and furniture. What results are not just objects, but connections forged through intimate objects.
