Join CraftNOW and the Creative Business Accelerator (CBA) to explore your funding options and learn more about how Kiva works. Emily Keebler, Kiva Pittsburgh Program Director, and Pittsburgh-based artist Jessica Alpern Brown come together to talk about crowdfunding and introduce how Kiva can help creative entrepreneurs. Kiva uses crowdfunding to make affordable loans accessible to a wide range of entrepreneurs through interest-free small business loans of up to $15,000. Kiva employs alternative eligibility requirements and a community of nearly 2 million lenders. Jessica Alpern Brown, a successful Kiva recipient, is a multidisciplinary artist that creates fine art and design for homes, public realms, and the built environment.

PG&H Retail Residency
The PG&H Retail Residency is a four-month engagement designed to support makers and creative businesses in the greater Pittsburgh area seeking to enter the retail setting for the first time or grow existing retail presence. The residency provides tailored resources to meet business owners’ experience level and retail needs with everything from one-on-one coaching to behind the scene access to the PG&H store. Applications for the next cohort open in the winter of 2021.
